Tariff Warning
This product is made in China and ships to the United States from our UK warehouse. From May 2nd, 2025, US Customs will charge tariffs on ALL items in an order that contains this product.
How do tariffs work?
From May 2nd, 2025, new rules mean that tariffs apply to Snag parcels containing items made in China, even if it’s just one item. This is because the de minimis threshold (which used to allow orders under $800 to pass through tariff-free) no longer applies to these orders.
How much are the tariffs?
- Items made in China (like our swimwear or smoothwear) – a 145% tariff applies to that item
- EU-made items (like our tights) – a 10% tariff applies to that item
- Turkey-made items (like our leggings and skirts) - a 10% tariff applies to that item
IMPORTANT - tariffs only apply to products made in other countries if your order includes at least one product made in China. If your order doesn't include anything from China, tariffs do NOT apply.
What does that actually mean?
So, for example, if you order a bikini made in China that costs $50 you will be charged a tariff of 145% x $50 = $72.50.
When do I pay the tariff?
Tariffs are charged by US Customs when your order arrives in the US, NOT when you pay for it on the website. Snag do not add anything to the cost of your order because of the tariffs.
How do I pay the tariff?
When your order arrives at US Customs the courier company will contact you by email to tell you how much the tariffs are and how to pay them. Many couriers also charge an administrative fee for processing the tariffs, this is determined by the courier and Snag has no control over this fee.
What if I don't pay the tariff?
US Customs won't let your order into the country unless you pay the tariff. If you don't pay the tariff your order will eventually be sent back to our warehouse in the UK. Once its returned our team will contact you to see how you want to proceed.
How do I know its not a scam?
Unfortunately lots of scammers are trying to take advantage of the confusion around the tariffs, so please be careful. If you receive a message about tariffs on your Snag order and you have any doubt at all, please contact hello@snagtights.com to check that its genuine. Snag can’t take responsibility for any mistaken payments.

Care: Delicate machine wash at 30°C. Wash with with similar colors. Do not bleach, reshape while damp, cool iron, professional dry clean. Due to the delicate nature of the fabric, take care when wearing jewellery to avoid snagging.
